Bella had gotten lost in thought about her relationship with Mark. Sure, they were best friends for about as long as Bella could remember, but she didn’t seem to mind that much that Mark didn’t seem to care that she was going out with someone else for the night. Did he really just want to hang out with the guys? Were they drifting apart? Were they ever that romantically close to begin with? All of these thoughts kept rolling around the brunette’s mind, now more than ever. She was sure that she loved him, but was she in love with him? Had she ever really been in love? She didn’t understand why she was suddenly doubting everything she knew. The only thing that had changed was that the mysterious beach girl had popped up out of nowhere, and was now dancing circles around her brain and never leaving. The most disturbing part was that Bella greatly enjoyed the view.Bella was pulled back to reality with hook around her neck when the gorgeous girl appeared in front of her. She smiled instantly, and all thoughts about Mark left her brain. “Hey! So do you!” she exclaimed, trying not to let her eyes linger anywhere they shouldn’t. What was it about this girl that left Bella so entranced? She stood from where she was sitting and did the only thing logical; give the girl an extremely awkward hug. With one hand firmly clasped around her purse, she leaned in and gently wrapped her other arm around Jasmine’s shoulders. She pulled away when she realized how completely awkward it was, but her heart fluttered at an unsafe pace at the physical contact. She took a shaky deep breath and tried to calm herself, the smile never faltering. “Alright, let’s get out of here. You don’t dangle clubbing in front of my face then just sit around chatting calmly,” she half joked. She loved clubs. And something inside of her really wanted to see those hips move, whether or not Bella realized that.
She began to walk towards the entrance to the hotel where there were plenty of cabs waiting. Her hips moved from side to side perfectly. They may have done it a bit more just for Jasmine, but Bella would have never admitted that. She waved the cab down then took another moment to glance at the other brunette. She seriously looked stunning. How could a girl who looked like that not be here with a boyfriend? Bella truly didn’t understand how that worked. She was with a group of girls for the summer. Surely there must be someone in this girl’s life, and Bella was set to discover who it was. For some reason, Bella felt herself caring. Wanting to know so much more about this girl’s life than she really should. Curious was probably the best word to describe it, but it was more than that. There was a desire within Bella to know everything she could and be as close to the girl as possible. “You coming?” she asked casually over her shoulder.
Jasmine had always been a pretty confident girl and hearing compliments normally didn’t make her heart race as much as it did the second Bella murmured the simple ‘So do you!’. It was innocent enough to easily fall into the platonic category but there was something about the glint in the other girl’s eyes that gave Jasmine hope. Having hope might have been a little stupid but how could she not hope to have more than friendship with this girl? This gorgeous mystery girl that had her constantly wanting to know more. Things with Bella just seemed natural. Yet, there was still much to uncover, so much more to know. All Jasmine knew for sure was that her need to know everything about this girl would never be fully sated. Even with all the unknown between them the taller brunette felt safe, comfortable with Bella who was still technically a stranger to her.
The taller brunette couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow for a brief moment at the way the other woman’s eyes gazed over her body a little too long to be just admiring her choice in outfit. But truth be told Jasmine was doing the exact same thing to Bella. She couldn’t help it, the girl was certainly gorgeous. Her curves and tanned skin acting like a magnet with her eyes, trying to keep them glued to the glorious sight. Somehow the logical side of her brain seemed to know the secret to ignoring the magnetic pull and she was able to meet the dark eyes she was slowly beginning to memorize. Ever since she first laid eyes on Bella, the girl never left her mind. No matter how much Jasmine tried to not like this girl everything in her was yearning for the shorter brunette, begging for anything more. All of this worried her greatly because she knew this could never be anything. Now all she needed to do was find a way to shake these feelings that had already planted themselves within her.
Just when Jasmine set her mind to forget the shorter girl Bella apparently felt the need to give her a light hug. It didn’t last long but the close proximity instantly set her entire being on fire. Certain parts of her body yelling at her to hold the girl in the hug a bit longer, tighter. But she willed those urges away as an arm very softly wrapped around the other woman’s shoulders, afraid of what would happen if she allowed her hand to go any lower. As soon as Bella pulled back Jasmine awkwardly looked out the hotel window, focusing on nothing but getting her breath and heart rate under control. How the hell could one girl have this kind of effect on her? She’d be lying if she said it wasn’t a bit aggravating. “Yeah, right. We should go going then, the club awaits!” She said sounding more excited than she felt. Inside she was mentally berating herself for thinking going clubbing with Bella was a good idea, because if she could barely handle a light hug how the fuck did she expect to handle dancing? I am a complete fucking idiot…
Now there was no going back, she would just have to somehow maintain self control and try to drink away her feelings. With that thought she looked at Bella walking towards the cabs outside, it only took a second for her eyes to catch the swing in her hips. Yeah because self control is going to be such an easy task with her doing shit like that. When the other brunette’s words registered in her racing mind Jasmine realized she hadn’t moved since the hug and quickly shook her head before strutting out of the lobby with a new determination. She was going to get over Bella the fastest way she knew how.
The club was barely a five minute cab ride from their hotel and Jasmine was extremely thankful for that. By the time they pulled up the tall brunette was back to actually feeling excited about the evening, after all, it had been awhile since she had gotten to go clubbing. “Let’s go!” She exclaimed her hand casually finding the other girl’s as she walked into the slightly crowded club. As was habit for her Jasmine headed straight for the bar, her hand still clasping Bella’s until they reached the bar and the heat radiating from the contact became too much of a reminder to the taller girl of what exactly she wished to forget. “So, I believe I promised to buy you a drink. What would you like?” Jasmine asked leaning over onto the bar trying to decide what she herself wanted to drink.
